Blanton Plumbing<p><br></p><p>J. Blanton Plumbing is a fast-growing residential plumbing and home services company serving the Chicagoland area. We are looking for a highly organized, hands-on <strong>Warehouse, Fleet, and Logistics Manager</strong> to take ownership of the day-to-day organization and movement of materials, equipment, and vehicles that keep our field teams running.</p><p><br></p><p>This is an active, operational role. The right person enjoys creating order, solving problems quickly, keeping accurate records, and making sure our technicians have what they need to get their jobs done.<br></p>Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Materials<ul><li>Receive incoming materials, parts, equipment, and deliveries.</li><li>Verify deliveries for accuracy and identify shortages or damaged items.</li><li>Count and track inventory and maintain accurate material quantities.</li><li>Stage materials and equipment for upcoming plumbing jobs.</li><li>Organize warehouse shelving, storage areas, and designated staging locations.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized warehouse.</li><li>Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.</li><li>Conduct regular physical inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Coordinate returns, unused materials, and warranty items when necessary.</li></ul>Equipment Management<ul><li>Maintain accurate records of company tools and equipment.</li><li>Track the location and assignment of equipment.</li><li>Regularly inspect equipment for damage, maintenance needs, or missing items.</li><li>Coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance with vendors.</li><li>Follow up on repairs to ensure equipment is returned to service quickly.</li><li>Help ensure crews have the proper tools and equipment available for scheduled work.</li></ul>Fleet & Vehicle Management<ul><li>Maintain accurate records for company vehicles, including maintenance and repair history.</li><li>Perform routine visual inspections of company vehicles.</li><li>Identify vehicle damage, maintenance needs, cleanliness issues, and missing equipment.</li><li>Coordinate vehicle repairs, preventative maintenance, oil changes, tires, and other service.</li><li>Work with repair shops and vendors to minimize vehicle downtime.</li><li>Track vehicle registrations, inspections, and other required documentation.</li><li>Help ensure company vehicles are properly stocked and ready for field operations.</li></ul>Logistics & Operations<ul><li>Coordinate the movement of materials and equipment between the warehouse, vendors, and job sites.</li><li>Work closely with field leadership and technicians to prepare for upcoming jobs.</li><li>Help resolve urgent material, equipment, and vehicle issues that could impact field operations.</li><li>Maintain accurate warehouse, equipment, and fleet records.</li><li>Develop and improve processes that increase warehouse organization and operational efficiency.</li><li>Perform other warehouse, logistics, fleet, and operational duties as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Comfortable working with inventory and tracking systems.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems quickly.</li><li>Strong follow-through and personal accountability.</li><li>Comfortable working both independently and with field and office teams.</li><li>Basic computer and technology skills.</li><li>Valid driver's license.</li><li>Ability to perform the physical requirements of a warehouse environment, including regularly moving and handling materials and equipment.</li></ul>What We're Looking For<p>We are looking for someone who takes <strong>ownership</strong>.
